Hi
I changed my registration of Evolution 9 to get the shipping info on emails not I get a message that an update is avaiable but after accepting the licence agreement the update stopps with: Error while updating:406 It was not possible to install the files
I have closed all programs and tried again, I have restaed the PC and tried again.
I am running on Windows 7

are you running your program as administrator?
Please try to do so and let me know.
Running as Administrator did not fix the problem.

I have even reinstalled windows 7 and Evolution - same problem

I think something has gone wrong during the installation procedure because the error 406, pops out when you can not write files: the program is not able to write files in it's destination folder. Maybe your program hsn't been closed correctly or you do not have the permission to write in it.
Please delete the program completely, download it again and install it from the beginning. You will find the link to download it in the ''download'' section on the top right corner of this page. Please make sure your internet connection works and that you have deleted every file regarding the program before starting.

I discovered the only way to install the update was to remove Avira 2012 Antivirus.
