Hi Elsa,
You need to have PHP enabled on your server for the emails from the Shopping Cart to function.
You can check if PHP is set up correctly by visiting the following link:
www.mysite.com/admin where www.mysite.com is your Website URL
Enter your Administrator Login and Password as defined in Step 4 of Website X5 - Advanced Settings / Access Management.
Once logged in look for the WebSite Test section where you will be able to run some diagnostic tests to check the PHP version on your server, etc.
Hope this helps!

Hello Paul,
Thanks for your help, but i´m not quiet sure that i´m doing everything right.
So, i made like you said, to check up PHP, i wrote my website URL, that is : www.cupidoerotico.com/admin and the message after that was:
404 - File or directory not found. The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
Probaly that means that PHP is not set up correctly, right?
Thanks a lot
Hi Elsa,
It doesn't necessarily mean that PHP is not set up correctly, but it does mean that there is something wrong with the files on your server. X5 should have uploaded the files required to allow you to access your online control panel... see this link for more info:
http://help.websitex5.com/en/index.html?pannello_controllo.htm
I only suggest logging in to the control panel because it contains diagnostic tools which will help you check if PHP is installed correctly on the server. However, your webhost should also be able to supply you with this information if you ask them.
Having said that, we need to work out what is wrong with your control panel, because access to it is required for other areas of X5, such as maintenance of the blog/guestbook
Hi Elsa,
Your admin control panel is showing online now... I assume you must have made some changes?

Hello Paul!
The PHP is now enabled on my hosting.
Now, the point is: For example, i faked a comment and seems everything ok, i can see it, add and remove it... But about the orders the same is not happening. What can be wrong? why i´m not receiving a copy of orders from clients?
Thanks
Elsa
Hi Elsa,
Check that you have entered a valid email address in Step 4 - Advanced Settings - Shopping Cart... 'Customer details' tab... 'Email address for receiving orders'

Hi Elsa,
When you first load Website X5, on the very first screen which appears (before you click on 'Start') you see a menu on the left-hand side of the screen. Please go into 'Preferences' - you will see two drop-down menus to select the type of email form script and data submission you wish to use.
Every server has different requirements, so it's important to try each and every combination fully to find the ones which will work with your host. You will need to upload your project after each setting change before testing. Make the changes one at a time, keep a note of which ones you've tried, and be sure to try all six combinations.
Please also check with your host that they have enabled the 'MAIL' command.
Let us know how you get on!
