I am trying to put "details" pages in a sub directory on my website. I only seem to be able to link in to these if they are n the top level. That is fine but the directory gets very crowded.

I am using V10 and in Step 2 sitemap the top right button says 'new layer' or something like that. I am using the Dutch version, so it could be another word, but you will get the meaning. See the image.

That introduces a new level, like in your example, details. Than you can add new pages to that level or drag already existing onto it. That is quite intuitive.

Hope this helped.

Rick

Hi Rick,

The 'New Level' command creates a new level in the menu, but it doesn't cause the .html files to be uploaded to a sub directory, which I think is what Duncan would like to do?

As far as I am aware the only way to do this would be to create the sub directory manually using an FTP client, then point each link in turn to the sub directory from within X5 (by using the 'File or URL' - 'Internet file' option)

Kind regards,

Paul

Thank you. You are right Paul as far as I can see. The way you describe is a bit laborious. I just wanted to avaoid having all the html files in the top directory but that seems to be the only option.
