I'm trying to get my site verified on Pinterest but can not work out how to upload the HTML document that they request that I upload to my website to enable verification. Can anyone help?

Hello David,

The HTML file can be uploaded to your server by means of an FTP client software such as FileZilla:

https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client

FileZilla is freeware.

However, if you're not accustomed to using an FTP client then you may find it quicker and easier to use the alternative method of verifying your site by META tag, as described here:

https://en.help.pinterest.com/entries/22488487

The META tag can be added to your WebSite X5 project in Step 1 General Settings - 'Expert' tab...  make sure you select 'Before closing the HEAD tag' from the drop-down menu entitled 'Custom Code'...  then simply paste the META tag which you have copied from the Pinterest site into the white space below the drop-down menu.

Reupload your entire project to the web in Step 5, then revisit the Pinterest site and click 'Complete Verification' to finish.

Kind regards,

Paul

Thank you Paul.

I used the META tag method as you suggested and it worked perfectly.

Thanks again.

Best wishes.

Dave.
