Error installing update

Trying to install the update announced yesterday to my version 10. I get an "error has occurred" popup inviting me to send you a file with the error report - but it does not allow me to click on it.
I carry on trying to update and I get a popup saying werror while updating: 406
The program still seems to run OK. I am currently on 10.0.6.31 trying to update to 10.0.8.35
Grateful for advice.

Well - not solved. But worked round.
