Audio and video is not working on an iPad.

I've just uploaded my new website but both audio and video is not working on an iPad.

I'm using following formats:
Audio - mp3
Video - mp4 - h264

Works on:
PC: Google Chrome.
Mac: Only with Firefox ... not with Safari.
iPhone/iPad: No

You can watch the page here: http://onlinemixing.dk/audio---video.html

How can I make audio and video work on an iPad/iPhone?

<!--[endif]-->

Kind regards

Hello Tom,

For the audio files you can convert to the .ogg format.

As for the video, you can use the WEBM format.

The files should then play correctly, and you should still have compatibility across a wide range of devices supporting HTML5.

Hope this helps,

Paul

Hello Paul.

Thank you for your suggestion.

I tried with both ogg files for audio and webm for video. Nothing works!

I've tried all possibilities. When I use the mediaplayer with ogg, all the graphics chrash ... actually there are two mediaplayer on top of each other. I also tried as html showbox and to link direct to the file location on my server. Nothing works! Same with webm video ...

I have spend 1½ week now, almost contant, to fix these issues ... make medias work on iPad/iPhone as well as the annoing fixed loop in the mediaplayer when playing audio.

I have had so many problems with the mediaplayer in general.

It's like you at Incomedia don't take audio and video seriously. I mean, an audioplayer that loops by default with no option to stop the loop ... other than editing the html in an external program. Please ...

I have to find another soulution if only 80 % of the X5 program actually works. Video and audio is very important for my buisness. These issues are not the only bugs in the program, but I don't have more time. Remember, people who buy your program often don't have the time to be professional web-designers or html5 gurus.

I give up!

Kind Regards

Tom East

Tom, what I have done for video's is upload to youtube and then download as MP4 and stored it locally on my PC. Then upload the PC file to your website. The MP4 format then works on my Ipad.

Thank you Hans.Smile

I will try that when I have time. For now, I've just uploaded all to Youtube, but with my own design in front. Not optimal, but it works.

Regards, Tom.
