Hello,

1. In Page creation > Widgets > E-mail Form Object, display of calendar in Date shows Monday to Sunday. I need to have week showing Sunday to Saturday. I need to have it appear globally in all calendar pop ups. How do I change that? Can you show me how to?

2. Where do I find Bread Crumb? Is that inserted in page or in template?

3. How do I create a Sitemap at the Footer? I am using Template 'Computer and Software 25'.

4. In Page creation > Text object, how do I enter Lorem Ipsum?

5. How do I select a particular font style that would be set globally for that project? ie Arial for a project.

Thanks for your answers,

Sam

Hello Sam,

Until someone else responds I shall try to answer you as best I can.

1.  This is not possible as far as I'm aware

2.  The breadcrumb trail is created by switching on the 'Page Path' and 'Page Title' in Step 4 Advanced Settings > Styles and Models > Text tab...  select 'Page Path' and 'Page Title' in turn using the 'Page Item' dropdown menu, and ensure the 'Visible' checkbox is ticked in both cases

3.  To create a sitemap in the Footer go to Step 4 Advanced Settings > Styles and Models > Text tab...  select 'Footer Menu' from the 'Page Item' dropdown and tick the 'Visible' checkbox

4.  I'm not exactly sure what you mean by this.  Lorem Ipsum, etc is sample text as used by many softwares?  You can cut and paste any text you wish straight into a Text Object

5.  Global font style is determined by the settings which you select in Step 4 Advanced Settings > Styles and Models > Text tab...  you can set different global fonts for Page Title, Page Path and Page Text using the 'Page Item' dropdown menu.  The settings you record here will become the default for all new Text Objects you create in your project.  However, they can be overidden on an individual basis each time you edit a Text Object.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Paul

Hello Paul,

Thanks for your responses.

In 1, Calendar, are we able to select first day of week as Saturday, Sunday or Monday?  At least be able to select Sunday or Monday as first day.  Some clients may demand their calendar showing as such.  Your other competitor gives you this option.

2. I did what you instructed.  Instead of appearing Service/Domestic (this way), it appears

Domestic

Service (top to bottom in this order)

Was I suppose to do something else?  And is that a fixed spot or can we move that elsewhere?

3. What I meant was something like on your own website.  Your bottom of every page has Website X5, Extra, Support, Info and Contact appearing on every page.  How do I one like that?

I tried to Copy Paste it and became a nightmare when making any changes.

4.  What I meant is for me how to fill in a page content with Lorem Ipsum sample texts, like on your tutorial.  It showed by clicking Paste Special it filled it with Lorem Ipsum sample texts.  How do I do that?

Thanks again for your help.

Sam

Hello Sam,

The calendar cannot be changed and it will always have this order. I would like to suggest that you open an "Idea" Post where you describe to us the feature you would like to see implemented in the future releases of WebSite X5.

For the links in the footer, this can be done in step 1 by adding a text and on this you add the link function to the desired page. All content added in the header and footer will be visible in every page.

The lorem ipsum has been taken from generators like on this website:

http://www.lipsum.com/

Many thanks!

Hello,

1. In bread crumbs creation, after Page Title and Page Path 'Visible' were both checked, it appears this way:

"Early Years

Company > History"

Can I make it appear this way instead?  "Company > History > Early Years".  And if they want to go back, they can click "History" in breadcrumb and move back.

2. How do I create this?  In text content, after a writing sentence or two, I would like to add "Read More..." and when clicked it would open up the rest of paragraphs.

3. What steps do I need to do so I can let someone(client) view/edit the project in their own computer?

Thanks,

Hello Sam,

It cannot be changed how the bread crumbs are automatically generated by the program.

About the "read more..." you will need to create the short text and then add a link to another page where the complete text will be present. There's no automatic way to get this feature.

To edit the project your client needs to have the program installed and then you need to export the project as IWZIP file and trasfer this file to his computer so he can import it in the program.

Many thanks!

Thank you Claudio, thank you Duncan.

1. I have tried before what you said Claudio.  I also looked at your site Duncan - thanks.  What I was looking for was that when you click "read more" you still remain on that same page (or appears to be), that same page expands pushing down the rest of the text objects on that page and displays your "added" text just below "read more".

I have seen that on a FAQ page.  All the questions were listed and as you clicked each question, each answer appeared just below the question expanding the page.  It also remained expanded until you clicked "less" after each answer.

2. It  would be a hassle for client to have to download the program to edit.  What I would like to know is if there are other ways a client can edit their pages or the site or online?

Can client edit it after it is published?

3. Can it be published but not go live?  If so, how can I do that?

Thanks

Hello Sam,

This is the only way to edit the project. The client needs to use the program to edit the project himself.

Once a website is published it is automatically online.

4. Yes you can wrap text around an image. You will find in the text editor the function to do it.

You need to use the button you see in the image in attachment.

Many thanks!

Hello,

1. In Sitemap Creation, how do I create subpages of a page?  I want to have as a page to appear on the Menu Tabs and the subpages would be underneath them.  Instead of Levels (where I cannot have any contents), I want to have pages used with their own subpages.

Or is there another way of doing this?

2. Also, when I put any text in Extended Page Title, they appear on that page in Preview.  But in Description, where would those text appear?  I cannot find any explanations in Help.

Thanks,

Sam

Hello Sam,

You cannot create a subpage of a page. The subpage is only possible to create by using the Level. For the level you can have content by opening the properties and then linking the Level to a hidden page.

The Description appears in the code and is only found by search engines to help others to see what is present in the page directly in the search results.

Please open a new topic for any new question so thwey can be found easier if someone has the same question.

Many thanks!
