Thin lines in template and a fixed background  en

The website www.borntorun.nl has been made in V9 with a standard template. On the IPad and IPhone the website showes thin lines at the edges of each part of the template (menu, top, content, bottom). After upgrading to V10 I thought this problem would have been solved. But unfortunately the lines are still there. Only on the IPad and the IPhone. On the (Windows)computer everything looks okay, as it did before. And there is another problem with the template. The background. is not fixed anymore. But also, only on the IPad and IPhone. When you scroll through the website the background is moving (in V9 it worked fine). Each part of the template (top, content, bottom) is far too big, higher than it is on the computer, and as it was before. The problem with the lines also happens with another website www.fawltyandjones.com. So I did not upload the V10-version of this one yet. Can you tell me what is wrong, or how I can solve these problems?

Hello Born 2 Run,

About the background it has been solved in the beta channel and soon it will be available as official update. About the lines issue you experience with the mobile device, it depends not on the website itself but rather on the rendering of the mobile device which is not loading correctly the frames and so when scrolling it shows these lines.

Please feel free to write back if you need more information.

Thank you Claudio for your answer.

About the lines, is there something I can do about that?

Hello Born 2 Run,

You can try to deactive the auto-scrolling in the menu because this one causes the reload of the content when scrolled and the devices are not reloading all correctly in the same page generating this rendering issue.

If you require any further information, please feel free to write back.

Hello Born 2 run,

Please trz also to remove following code zou added before closing the HEAD tag:

<bodyoncontextmenu="alert('Copyright Born to Run'); return false;" />

Otherwise you will have to opening body tags. This code

oncontextmenu="alert('Copyright Born to Run'); return false;"

needs to go in BODY TAG PRPOPERTY.

Once done test it again.

Many thanks!

Hi Claudio.

You are right that this code was on the wrong place. I changed that. But unfortunately, it did not remove the thin lines. They are still there.

Any other ideas?

Hello Born 2 Run,

you added following code in the body:

<bodyoncontextmenu="alert('Copyright Born to Run'); return false;" />

and then the output is:

<body<bodyoncontextmenu="alert('Copyright Born to Run'); return false;" />>

which is not correct. Please add only:

oncontextmenu="alert('Copyright Born to Run'); return false;"

Otherwise it can lead to rendering issues. Please try to change it and then test it again.

Many thanks!

Hello Born 2 run,

It seems to depend on the rendering of the mobile device. Please try to open the template editor and reduce the margins for the content and then check if this avoids the thin lines.

Many thanks!

Hi Claudio,

Unfortunately reducing the margins did not help either.

I noticed that when you are zooming in on the mobile devices, the lines disappear. In both websites (made in V9 and V10).

Hello Born 2 run,

This is a general issue of the mobile browsers which tends to not render correctly the elements of the page by adding in some zoom factors extra space. We will continue to see if there is a way to solve this issue generated by the mobile browsers.

Many thanks!
