Hello Stuart,

Can you advise what version of WebSite X5 you are running?  Could you also temporarily remove the right-click protection on the pages, so we can check the source code?

Hello Guy,

One of our regular contributors, Andre E, has in fact already responded to your thread:

Thanks for forwarding the version information.  Can you also temporarily remove the right-click protection on the web pages (in Step 1 of WebSite X5), then reupload your project to the server (using Step 5)?

At the moment we can't view your source code to troubleshoot as you have the right-click protection implemented.  Try right-clicking on any one of your web pages and you will see what I mean.

Many thanks,

Paul

Update: I have now managed to view your source code.  A few thoughts...

The simplest and quickest way to rectify your issue would be to delete these two pages from your X5 project and rebuild them from scratch using a fresh Email Form Object in WebSite X5.  At present the pages are an amalgamation of WebSite X5 project code plus various third party scripts.  A correctly formatted WebSite X5 page with an embedded contact form should have a .php file extension, as opposed to your .html one.

Once you have rebuilt the two pages in question then reupload your project to your server to test.  However, it would be a good idea to delete the following two files from the server first:

http://www.heathlandscattery.com/existing_customers.html

http://www.heathlandscattery.com/existing_customers_with_new_cats_or_details.html

I see you are using version 8.09  -  I strongly recommend upgrading your copy of version 8 to the newest release 8.0.16:

Keep us posted on your progress.

Kind regards,

Paul

Hi Paul, I have got the booking email request form working showing nice calendar sending to the onwner of the cattery.

However when they see the email booking information entered from the booking form is not correctly emailed (missing)

Can you take a look at the code and see if you can fix?

Many thanks,

Stu.

Hi Paul I'm doing what you say and removing both pages:

http://www.heathlandscattery.com/existing_customers.html

http://www.heathlandscattery.com/existing_customers_with_new_cats_or_details.html

and using the websitex5 booking form. the owners of this site have paid for your software but when I try to upgrade its says no unlock codes requested. then add license. Jane has paid for her copy what do i need to do to upgrade?

Also using your email template when I hit 'send' button (to email booking) I dont see the form sent as email I dont have any thrid party code in there now?? Frustrating :( Please help!

Right now the upgrade isnt as important I need the email form to be sent to the designated email address can you take a look as to why she is not receiving any email request?

No third party code now all your own templates.

Thanks Stu.

Hello Stuart,

I should preface by pointing out I don't actually work for Incomedia...  I'm just a regular user like yourself.  But I'm happy to help out where I can.

The update to 8.0.16 is free to all existing v8 license holders.  Jane needs to create an account on here (answers.websitex5.com) using the same email address she first used when purchasing the software.  Having done that she will then be able to download the update from the following link:

http://answers.websitex5.com/profile/downloads

Unfortunately your FTP details won't help me to solve this issue for you.  However, the very first thing I would do in your situation (now that you have removed the third-party scripts) is delete ALL your existing X5-related files and folders from your webserver.  Having done that you can then do a fresh upload of the entire project in Step 5.  This will purge any redundant and corrupt files from the server.

Having done that it would then be a good idea to clear your browser cache and cookies before testing once again.

If you still have difficulty and/or are still not receiving the emails, can you let us know which version of PHP is running on your server?  Can you also confirm that your server supports the PHP mail() function?  Your webhost will be able to give you this information if you can't find it via your online control panel.

Best regards,

Paul
