Problem logging in to admin control panel

When I enter mywebsite.com/admin (or even mywebsite.com/admin/index.php) I get forwarded automatically to http://www.mywebsite.com/admin/blog.php

This allows me to administrate the blog but I cannot access anything else in the control panel.

Before I installed the blog, I did not have this problem.

PS - the link to my blog off the menu is mywebsite.com/blog/index.php

Is there not a small horizontal menu at the very top-left of your screen?
