Lost Iwp Files Version 9  en

I saved a new website project and the whole folder containing 5 iwp files disappeared from my computer.  I have located some IWPRJ (???) files relating to the project but no IWP file to recover the projects.  What do I do?  Is this a major bug?

Hi Michael,

you can export the .iwzip project with the "export the project" in the step 5.

I have not got any .iwzip files - just a mix of 100 or so IWPRJ files from a variety of projects.  I. don´t even know whether all the IWPRJ files are from version 8 or version 9.

When I saved the project that I am currently working on, all my version 9 files disappeared completely from the folder.

I need to find the five projects that I created in version 9 because although they have been published to the internet they are still work-in-progress.

Hi Michael,

go in the folder where Websitex5 save the projects (you can see in the Preference windows). Search the folder of the project and delete "Preview" and "Upload" folder, delete the file project.iwprj and rename the backup.iwprj in the project.iwprj so you can see the project in the program.

Hi Riccardo,

I solved the problem by starting a new project.

By searching inside each individual documents folder on my computer, I eventually found a folder containing the lost files (they didn´t show up on a Windows 7 search - which was wierd) and copied and pasted them into the new project just created.  They were not in the folder shown in Preferences nor were there any iwprj files; it was a folder that contained just the images and the preview and upload folders.

I clicked the preview button and all worked perfectly.  After previewing, I now have the iwprj and backup files in the correct folders and everything is where it should be.

I did this for each of the 5 projects and everything works fine.

If I now do a Windows 7 search for backup.iwprj they show up as they should.

I never could locate any of the original project.iwprj or backup.iwprj files though.
