V10 Professional Major Error  en

Seemed to publish fine until I selected the option to not show the meta generator tag...

One thing I have encountered so far is when publishing a site the home page does not get published...correctly. Shows as code all over the screen.

The index.html file doesnot seem to be generated and published - could not find it on my server - nor in the project files on my desktop - other than in the preview folder. This needs fixing right away.

Hello FHWD Admin,

I have done some testing and have been unable to recreate this scenario.  I have published sites both with and without the generator metatag info and in all cases the index page is displayed correctly.

Do you find this happens with a brand new project, or with a project which has been created in a prior version?

I can think of instances where you might see "code all over the screen", but they wouldn't be related to the metatag option, and they would be cured by a server purge and refresh.

Can you delete your X5 project files from the server, then hold down the 'CTRL' key in X5 whilst entering the preview mode, then do a full export to the internet in Step 5...  and let us know if this resolves the issue for you?

Many thanks!

Paul

Will try what you are suggesting now.

It is a project imported from my x5 v10 - I did delete all server files before uploading it by the way.

I did hold down the CTLR entering preview mode. Then went and checked the folder in My Documents for the project - same problem exist - it is not generating the index.html file in the Upload folder - only the index.jsp file. That's the problem.

So even if I delete all sever files once again and do a full upload I will have the same issue - no index.html

The index.html file is in the Preview folder - just doesn't get created in the Upload folder.

Hello FHWD Admin,

Did you select in step 2 - Page Properties - to generate the page with JSP extension instead of html? Can you please write me the link to the page?

If you select a different extension, the program will not generate 2 index files but only one with the selected extension.

Many thanks!

Somehow that was the issue. It was set to jsp - switched it to html - all is fine now.
