Hello,

i've been using Website X5 since version 8 for some small projects.

Now i was wondering if it's possible to create sub-pages.
What I mean is a page that has sub-pages. I know it's possible to create submenus, but the submenu by itself doesn't has the possibility to display a page on the site.

Is there a work-around to achieve this ?

greetz,

Patrick

Hello Pcssa,

thanks for the quick answer, but i'm affraid that wasn't the solution for my problem.

Let me try to explain it a bit better :

I want to have the following menustructure  :

Main
--Kitchens
  --Kitchen 1
  --Kitchen 2

Main is my hompage, Kitchen is the toplevel menu for the kitchen menu, in this example there are two pages Kitchen1 and Kitchen2

It's no problem at all to create the Kitchen1 and 2 pages, also creating the Kitchens menu isn't a problem, but... I want it to work this way that if the user clicks on the Kitchensmenu, a webpage is shown also, at this moment, the user gets the submenu where he can select between kitchen 1 and 2.

How to do this ?

grtz,

Patrick

Yes, I did use levels, and when I do it the way you show it in the screenshot, "Kitchen" will appear twice in the menu.

Or am I doing something wrong ?

HI, what I do is go to my webhotel, create a folder : eksample.com/eksample.

then I upload the seperate created subpage / page with compleatly different design into that folder by typing: eksample.com/eksample  ... into spot on the export menu just above the "use passive ftp, and the save code option.

on the page organizer, you mark a "new level" mark the new level and use level preferences: choose internet page, and chose wether to open in a new window or the same window.

pretty much a good way to make different disigns on the same webpage, as your topbanner can be different from page to page, using the version 8... I have not tried the version 9 yet but I really wish I could do.

Thank you for your suggestion Jacob, very useful! You can try the new Evo 9 by downloading either the Demo version (which gives you the possibility to test every function in the program, but you can not upload your website on the internet) or the free (limited functions, but you can create your website for free) http://www.websitex5.com/en/free.html . Please test it if you wish! Wink
