Hi. Is it possible within access management to have some pages hidden from one group (so they do not know it is there) but accessible by another group?

Jeremy, This is a tricky question.

To start:

It's not possible to have a menu on accesing your site that looks different for a group of users then to other users.

I assume you don't want to show the menu item to a certain page.

You can create a page that is hidden in your sitemap. This page is not shown in your menu, I think this is what you want. To enter this your users need to know the ineternet adress. this will be the text you see if you preview this page and this text needs to be added to your homepage. (But you have to give the adress to this site page seperatly to these users.)

for example: the name in the site map is 'hiddenpage' you set it hidden by the button above in your sitemap. preview it will show up as hiddenpage.html if your home page is : myhomepage.com then this page can be accesed as myhomepage.com/hiddenpage.html

If the name is known to people that you don't want to acces then they can offcource enter it and goto it. These setting have no relation to the acces management.

If you want to have an acces code as well you can set this page also as locked page.

Now you will not see it and can't acces it even if you know the webadress without a code, set by you in acces management.

Maybe a suggestion: You can also set a picture and by clicking on it you go to that hidden page. People need to know what picture you click. For example if you have a lot of stars in your banner add one as a picture to it for example the second one on the right or a bright one, you can than link it to this hidden page for special visitors. You need to tell the people wich star.

I still would lock it with acces for a group because hovering over the stars will make your mouse change and people might discover this.

Hope you can get it sorted out with this info. Let me know if you have questions.

BR A
