Are different plug-ins available which will allow the Video Player to run in different browsers? I've tried differing video file formats i.e. AVI, MP4 and WMF, but they will all only run under Internet Explorer.

Convert all your videos to FLV (Flash) All browsers support this format!!

I don't think the problem is with the format of the video file, it is more a problem with finding a video player plug-in which is supported by all browsers.

John it "IS" the video format!!

If you use Windows format WMV etc.... everyone has to install the plugin in their own browser. Even IE asks you to install this plugin. (I won't put this plugin in my browser as it slows it down)

Now with flash it is different because when everyone acquires a computer there is a flash file (SWF) on almost all websites on the internet. So more often than not everyone HAS to HAVE this plugin installed from the beginning!!

So the Flash video FLV will play instantly in everyones browser automatically!!

Go to my Cyber Cafe below to see how my umpteen flash players work......
