Shopping cart errors (ActiveX?)  en

I have created a site and set up a shopping cart. Everything seemed ok until final testing before uploading the site, when i found I could no longer add products to the cart, or at least, the cart failed to appear when i added anything.

In internet explorer 9, i first get a message at the bottom of the screen saying 'Internet Explorer restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls' with the box to Allow Blocked Content.

Regardless of what action i take here, if i click an ADD TO CART button, it takes me to a screen saying: The following table lists all products in the cart and the total amount of your order. Choose the shipment and payment mode you prefer, then click on the 'Next' button to go next. But no list of the cart contents appears, as it did during initial tests.

I get similar problems in Chrome, where i get a 'Javascript alert - Cookie must be enabled!' error appear. I have emptied the cache, reset cookie settings and tried 2 different computers.

Any ideas?

Thanks Jamie.  I've tried it with IE10 and Chrome and have the same problem.  I also need the site to be able to work on any browser, i cant really ask my customers to upgrade their browser if they want to shop with me.

Is this a known issue?  Any help would be greatly appreciated,  as otherwise I'm going to have to spend the weekend rebuilding the site from scratch :(

Hello Daniel,

What Version of the program are you using?

How are you testing it locally? Are you copying the URL of the preview in the other browsers or you exported locally the HTML files?

Many thanks!

I'm using version 8 and have had the shopping cart working in the past.  If i set up a new site it works fine.

I've tested using the programs own browswer (by clicking 'test'), by exporting the files locally and by uploading them to the web and asking others to test on various browsers and devices.
