I have saved the website I created to my computer and I need to unzip it in order to add it to the hosting site. How do I do this? I have an unzip program that is not winzip, does this mean it will not unzip unless I have winzip only?

You do not need to unzip anything, you need to export your website to a new folder on your computer, there is a checkbox for this in the last step, then transfer all the files in that folder to your hosting folder.

I have done that. I have also tried to export them directly. The server techs have said the files need to be unzipped in order for them to launch the site. I have now gotten WINZIP but I still can't get them to unzip.

Ok I have been back in contact with the web hosting techs again, they have said a index file is missing from the website files that should be with the files from the web designe files.

You should have your home page name as index.html, that way the page will load without specify the page name. You could call it something else except the page name will also need to be typed in by the user. eg www.domainname.com/pagename.html

webx5 will name your home page as index automatically, unless you change it manualy!

go to your homepage properties > general >  filename, and see what is the name of it! it should be index.
