Images within a Word Docx file are being blocked -- how do I get the images to appear in my site. I am linking to the page, a Word docx file with images in the document and while the linked page appears the images within it do not. I get a message banner that says the images are being block, how do I correct this?

save it as word 97-2003, then use it, it should solve your problem.

Anthony thanks for the answer, I did that, I saved as a 97-2003 but the page comes up blank. What I am trying to do is to set a link on my home page to a word document that contains images. I have a list of a hundered HTML Word documents I am trying to set links to. The page comes up with no problem but the images are missing, a small box appears in there place. Everything else looks great. I have tried linking the images in the document but with no luck. If I go to the page editor and copy paste the same documents in a page the document comes up but not images, but I am able to link the images in the page editor and insert the images manually and they work. But, what I really want to do is to place a title and link that title to the Word document in a folder on my pc. I would link to the Word Doc as you suggested but it comes up as a blank so I saved the word doc as an HTML and then the page appears but no images, just a little square indicating an image is supposed to be there -- Thanks, any help is appreciated.
do you have a test page up on internet so I can see it?

Near the the end of the word document -- saved as htm -- there were three images that appear only a empty boxes. I have 50-60 Word documents I am trying to eventually link to and some contain images. When I open the docs in word the images appear just fine, in the docx format as well as the htm or html format but when I link to them the images disappear.

attached is a snipped area or picture of what is not appearing -- you can see the words are appearing but not the pitures or images.
Ok, no I see, your word document saving addresses for your images, since that folder is no exist, you see an empty box.
there are 2 ways to have them in your website
custom: in this way you have to create folder and upload files in to your host outside of the webx5
Automatic: in this version, webx5 will create your folder and upload your images as well
your document looking for
All Hail the Zeus Part 1_files/image001.jpg
to show your images, so
***for custom mode you need to create a folder name
All Hail the Zeus Part 1_files and upload your images over there.
***for auto mode you need to use html/widge object, then go to Epert tab inside the html object, then click on Add, choose your image and type your your foldername in "server relative path" then hit ok, webx5 will create that folder and add your images over there automaticlly.
Suggestion: change your folder name to "allhailthezeuspart201_file" and since your word doc, automaticlly create that folder based on your ducoment name, eather remove the spaces or "-" from your document name then convert them to html or use underline to space them like "All_Hail_the_Zeus_Part_1"
Let me know the result
If this post fixed your issue please mark it as solved

Thanks Anthony but I could not get it to work -- maybe if I understood what I was doing a little better. I did find a solution though, I converted the articles into PDF and they open just fine and the pictures and the formating is all in place. So, that seems to be the solution. It seems the Word 2010 has blended this processor with an image editor and uses overlays so the pics are not really on the same page as Text, the images and grafices are overlays and for some reason you cannot embed the pictures into the text page -- they say you can but then they hide it and on searching the wed it seems I am not the only one with this same problem and is seems some have options others do not in the same software? So, it seems Word docs with images carries too much baggage to really be a medium for a website. I have also notice that in using Website 5X page editor that doing a "copy/paste" from word to the editor all of the formating is lost and the images are gone, but you (I) can do a new Copy of the Image or pictures and repaste back into the page editor and it is all good. My solution for now is to save the docx files as PDF, which Word lets me do, and the Images stay with the PDF then I can link to the PDF --- saving me a ton of work. Thanks again for you help, Dan
