VAT Not Excluded From Price  en

Author: Pete S.

Hi, This has to be a programming error in the software. I set the VAT option not to be included in the price, yet the price displayed on the shopping card has the price + the VAT applied on it. When I go to the Shipment and Payment screen the prices are broken out here OK. Setting the main shopping card VAT option to 3 should have the VAT not showing up in the price, but it does. Honestly seems like a slick package here, but I have another ticket in with the price being covered up with the quantity box on the first shopping cart screen where you pick your products to purchase. This is Ticket ID: SFH-575-82165 With that major issue and now the VAT being included in the price, well that makes your product absolutely unusable for me. I am asking for a reply back as soon as maybe someone knows some work-a-round or having the same darn issues.s is. The issue with the prices covered up is an issue right in the new version 10 and was not an issue in version 9, so this is a new issue! Pete,

choose option #1 (vat is not present) instead of number 3.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

No that won't do it.  I do have a VAT "called Sales Tax" here in Caanda and our sales tax is 13% so I need to have one.

The issue is the 13% is split OK on the Shipment and Payment screen, but on the main shopping cart screen where the user selects his/her products to add into the shopping cart the price shown has both the price and the VAT added in together.  So the price is not being excluded here as one would expect it to be with VAT excluded from price in option VAT setting type set to 3.

go to your product list object , then go to the setting, there is a vat option over there to, you need to set that one to to #2 Vat excluded as well, please see attachment

so remember, there are 2 places needs to be set for vat excluded;

1. advance setting>shopping cart>options

2.product list object>setting

Anthony,

I just had to post this for you.  I got a reply back from the WebSitex5 support folks with a copy of the entire .pdf manual attached that I already have - lol

I was advised the following:

"We have attached the pdf manual file of the program with this email, you are requested to please go through to it for complete information regarding program."

The ticket was closed and that is it.  I got no details as to the second location for the VAT setting that you provided.

Pete,
