Import and Export Tool  en

I would like to see a method of importing and export websites into Websitex5 to make it more mainstream and to broaden it's appeal. There should be a tool in WebsiteX5 that will allow it to read and write to those file formats. At present I only see the native file format. I would also like to see a tool that would allow WebsiteX5 to download a website from the internet.

I agree. I have been using Evolution V8 for years, and until recently it was entirely suitable for my purposes. There was absolutely no need to update to version 9. But now, asd often happens, both of the computers on which I have installed Version 8 have finally died irretrievably, andf I am unable to cancel their registration details so that I can reload Version 8 on my new computer.

Why is this, Incomedia? Can you not make it easy for established userts to reregister the software on a  new computer  when an old one dies? So  I bought version 10 - only to find that I cannot now access my old archived files and update my website, as I urgently need to do now.

I am not prepared to go to the enormous trouble of rebuilding what has become a substantial web site from scratch again using Version 10, but there seems to be no way to convert the original V8 batched file collection to the new zip format used in version 10.

I have repeatedly recommended this programme to other people imressed by my web site, but I am reluctant to continue to do so now, because I feel that Incomedia has abandoned its established clients who did not need to update everytime a new version came out.

The only solution for me now is to have access either to a patch on Version 10 that will load the Verdsion 8 archived files, or else, as you say, provide a way to download my existing web site intect from the internet, so I can save it as a version 10 batch file. Otherwise, I shall have to find an alternative software provider who is more concerned to protect its loyal old customers.

Doug: I agree, at least a program like Artisteer can export multiple file formats for Wordpress or Joomla. There is little excuse to limit importation file formats. A company that seeks inclusion is better to postioned to expand its market. Interpreters are always in demand.

Contined- You would also think that it would import native HTML Code.
