Saving A Banner  en

I down loaded the Oceanic template. I found no other template that has the same banner background. I have tried making changes to the template and saving it but the banner becomes flat blue. How do I keep the original banner from the Oceanic template without it going "flat."

Is there a way to cut and save the banner as a separate element?

Thanks.

are you talking about the blue box at the top with tabs?

Yes this is the background at the top of the page which forms the background behind the words "Oceanic". It also has the white swosh horizontal and star accents.

I think what you have over there in your home page in a text object with tabs.

open the text object and right click on every tab you would like to delete and delete them, at the end when only 1 tab left, you can put your own text over there and background is there too :)

or, you can make a copy of your background and use it for another object.

that blue box is a cell background. if you want to have copy of it go to your webx5 temp folder (something like (C:\Users\your widows login name\Documents\Incomedia\WebSite X5 v10 - Evo\your project name\Preview\images )

make a copy of it and save it into another drive or folder like "my documents\mypictures"

You were right. In this instance the "Oceanic" template had the image in a different subdirectory.  The cell though was saved as preview on the directory entitled Incomedia as "preview".  It was not in the subdirectory "\preview\images".  (The Oceanic template was a Evo 9 template and had to be converted.) Does this explain why when I saved the project it  changed the blue box cell background to another?  The file I copied also contained the backgounds, footer and other editable items normally edited in the import tab when first setting up a website.  It appeared to be more than just the "blue box" though that was all I was interested in saving. (The swoosh and chrome touch points are appealing) Is there a way to cut the header or is it part of the whole image file saved.  I will close this thread on your reply as you were correct on the ultimate issue.....Thanks for the clarification.

well, in evo9 you couldn't create a text box with tabs!

I don't have the template to tell you exactly what is going on, but I can tell that whole blubox is one image.

locate the image, and save it. then use it any where you would like to or if you want, you send the template to me and i will save it and send it back to you. you have my email address.
