Trying to obtain the image data from the URL

Have created the web site and entered the images in the pages, but now I wish to be able to click on an image and show in a different folder, I need to be able to locate the image in the URL, and when I do this does not locate the file, I used an FTP program so I could look where the files were located, I then entered the information where I thought it needed to be, example www.someone.co\httpdocs\images\dsc0006 Am I putting too much information regarding the details

Correction should be a different window not folder want to be able to click on the image and have it come full size in a another window

have not received an answer as yet
If it is one picture you can use the link option in the image object screen.
If the picture is in a text object use the top link button.
choose there the "file or url" option and select your local picture.
That should do it.
