see the link below, that will help you to understand.

I suggest to add 2 items to your shoping cart, then export the list and use the csv file as template.

as far as auto update, no, there is nothing out there to update x5's shopping cart. you need to do it manualy.

If you use CSVed (freeware) you can import the exel file csv (export the excel sheet as a comma seperated csv file if it is not in that format already) and then manipulate it into the correct format with ease by changing the delimiter to a semicolon.

Make sure the columns in the excel file are in the correct order that the X5cart needs to import the data as shown in the answer given in the post:

Using CSVed you can manipulate any CSV file, delimited with any separator, and the contents of the CSV file are visible in a listview so you can edit, add, insert, delete and move the items.

If the import does not work correctly for you try exporting the shoping cart data from your site and import it into excel then compare it with the file you want to import - I found that I had a problem with one of the column headings on the file not being exactly the same as the one exported from the cart.

It took me a few tries to get it right but it is very useful with a large cart when you work it out though I think Incomedia should add the ability to import all the variables that are changable in the cart as it would be very useful when having several product options and dicounted prices because, unfortunately, you still have to change most of them manually...

Hope this helps.

Best Regards,

Mark

Hey Mark, Deffinitely agree, i work with a company that does it manually so they update their inventory monthly and it would be much easier to just upload their cvs and get it over with rather than having to put one by one.

Thanks though
