How to select correct folder to publish web site?

Dear Sir/Lady,
Help menu of the very last page "webpage export to internet" is not explanatory for me. How shall I select the correct folder to publish my web site? Could you please briefly explain?
My hosting provider says : When adding files to your site, it is important that you add them in the right place. For example, you will need to place files you wish to be visible on the Internet within public_html or a subdirectory of public_html. If you placed them in / for example, no one will be able to view them.
So, should I select folder public_html?

Where to publish depends on the service provider. It seems like your provider is using Cpanel and public_html directory is the correct place to publish your site.

if you are not using subdomain (www.example.yourdomain.com) then the answer is yes, you need to publish it in public_html folder.
if you are using subdomain, automaticly after you creat a subdomain, cpanel will automaticly create a folder for your subdomain inside your public_html, you need to publish your website inside that folder.
the reason that that page does not explain alot inside x5, is because some hosts have different root folders and not all of them being called public_html, since it is depend on your host, there is nothing realy to say over there and everyone need to check that with their own host provider.
