I named 5 paqes. I clicked on Level twice and changed each of their names from numbers, like level 10 to whatever, etc.
I wanted them to be levels with the home page, but they show up at the top along with the links to the other pages.
When I made the second level it showed as being a level to the first level but neither are levels to the Home page. In fact, is a level a page that is also known as a sub page or a child page.
In fact, what then is the difference between a level and a page when they both look the same on the sitemap??

The manual could be much clearer in its step by step so one wouldn't have to be submitting questions at each step.

SO, how do I setup pages or levels that will only be shown when a link is clicked within a certain page, like in the home page, AND second -
How do I make it so that any page I DON'T want to appear among the navigation links does not appear there at the top.

the number you see is for content periority, has nothing to do with which page shows first in sitemap, that gives an Idea to google for how important the content of is (compare to other pages)

if yo dont want your page have a tab at the top, simply go to step 2, select your page then hit the hidden botton.

What is step 2?

please answer the rest of my question. What is the difference between a page and a level.

how come one page looked like it was a sub page to another with an arrow next to it?

I appreciate how fast you respond, but pls give more detail. At least until I get the hang of this program.

step 2 is "Sitemap Creation", at the left side of your x5 program you can see 1,2,3,4,5.

main level or page = any page over there will show on your manu bar

if you create a different level, let say you crate a level called "design", and you add a page under that called "mytest", on the menu you will see a tab called "design", when bring your mouse on top of it, it will open a submenu, inside your submenu you will see "mytest"

I suggest read the user manual at least once, all these basics are being explained over there.

what you see (the arrow) probably you are talking about "page path", go to step 4>styles and models> then from drop down "page item" menu choose page path and remove the checkmark, and that will no longer show inside your page, also its better to remove the check mark from page title as well.

I really am reading the manual. Slowly and carefully. I need all the insight and help possible until I get the hang of it.

With regard to, "if you create a different level, let say you create a level called "design", and you add a page under that called "mytest", on the menu you will see a tab called "design", when bring your mouse on top of it, it will open a submenu, inside your submenu you will see "mytest."

That's kind of part of my original question. How do I make a page to inside a page so it wll be on the submenu. Also, how not to do that.
Thanks.
