Hi,
I have a guest book on my website, the problem I am having is this. I am constantly updating my website. Every time I update it and upload the files to my server. It wipes out the comments in my guestbook. I have tried backing up the file on my server as well as the guestbook.php file. But it still wipes them out. How can I avoid deleting the comments?

Do you update the website with the export function in WebSite X5 or do you use another ftp client?
The internal ftp function doesn't delete the comments of the guestbook.
As alternative you can set to store the comments in a folder by opening the settings of the guestbook where you add the name of the folder as path where to savethe comments and then you create this folder online on the hosting server and you check the permissions to be 777 (chmod).
In this way you will now to not touch or delete this folder and it's content.
