I've just published my first Website x5 site. The pages displayed correctly in all browsers except IE, which didn't show any of the page images, though the header images ere there. The alternative text of the page images appeared briefly, but no photos. Because of this I have had to republish an earlier version of the site made with a different program. Can anyone tell me why photos don't appear in IE and what I can do about it, please?

Excuse me if, my English isnot very fair. You need to deleteIE history, before reopening thebroswer. otherwise someimages may not appear,or appear to bestaggered!...
Hello Anne,
You could try refreshing the cache of your Internet Explorer browser like Laiza suggests, by holding down the 'CTRL' key whilst reloading the affected pages. This will flush out any incomplete editions of the pages which were stored by the browser, IF you were using IE to check your work as you built your site.
I appreciate that you've republished an earlier version of the site now, but is there any way you can upload to a server and give us a URL so we can check this out for you?
Kind regards,
Paul

Thanks for the suggestions. I wasn't using IE to preview the site, but I've cleared the cache anyway. Still the same problem.
I've now uploaded the site to a temporary URL: http://torteval.bravehost.com/ so you ca see it, and I'm attaching two screenshots of the same page – the one with the photo of the dog in Firefox and the other with no dog in IE. Weird!

Hello Anne,
Thanks for the extra information and screenshots.
Do you have image protection activated within WebSite X5? The reason I ask is because there is a bug in version 11.0.0.9 which prevents images from being displayed in Internet Explorer whilst image protection is on.
The bug has been fixed in today's update, version 11.0.1.12
It might be a good idea to update your software to this latest version and try exporting again.
You can update from within the software itself, or alternatively download the full new version here:

Let us know if that is relevant to your case, and if so if it makes any difference to the issue.
Kind regards,

The problem persisted in spite of downloading the update but removing the protection from the images resolved it, and the site is now displaying correctly across all browsers:

Thank you for the very prompt, clear and helpful response. You may well hear from me again as I have another 10 - 12 sites to rebuild over the coming months . . .
