Good day,
We are setting up X5 with an e-mail information request form. Information gets mailed out daily. Then every so often all enquiried gets e-mailed to remind them of our product.
The question is can the e-mail form be set to e-mail a request and also gather all requests, either in a text, csv or database?
So far in looking at it only one function can be done, either e-mail or data collection.
In the past the incomming e-mail format has been suitable for us to read the complete mail box with an Excel importer, but the PHP format does not allow us to use this.
Any advise appreciated.
Thanks
Jon

Hello Jon,
You can do both by selecting 'Send data to a Database' under 'Data submission' on the 'Send' tab of the Email Form Object, then also ticking the checkbox underneath marked 'Send an e-mail to notify the data has been received' (see the screenshot attached).
The email you receive will contain a copy of the same data which was submitted to the database.
Kind regards,
Paul

Good day Paul,
Thank you for your helpful answer. After looking at the options and format of the e-mail form we have decided, for the time being, to continue to use our current form submission method. This decision was for a few reasons mainly the received format of the e-mail that has a lot of excess code that stops our bulk e-mail import program reading the data. Other items like no e-mail validation, lack of text colour control and no default value in fields.
It appears that X5 has a lot of development ahead of it and I look forward to seeing it's progress will be nice to see a WYSIWYG Html editor to save having to write code manually.
Thanks again for your help.
Jon
