I have a question about the blog function. Is it possible to add new articles and reply to comments as the author without the software. I am asking this because i made a website for my friend and he don't want to ask me all the time to add a new blog on his website.

No this is not possible with x5
He needs to get x5 himself or you could search on internet to find a free blog, but then it looks not the same as the website.
You could also create an IDEA post and ask for Incomedia to consider adding this feature.
