Correction

I have successfully created just such an email hyperlink on websites in X5 versions 10 & 11

I just cannot get it to work in X5 Version 12

try open the page with the browser Firefox or Chrome after you publish in the internet and test again.

I have just created two test websites on the same PC (I have not published them on-line as they would overwrite my functioning website):

1) Website X5 Ver 12: I can create an email hyperlink within a Text Object, but when I "Preview" & click on the email hyperlink to test it, I get a web browser type popup rather than an email popup (see attachmenyt in original post)

2) Website X5 Ver 11: I can create an email hyperlink within a Text Object, and when I "Preview" & click on the email hyperlink to test it, I get an email launching correctly

Have you tested the email hyperlink in Website X5 Ver 12?

a) Does it fail to launch an email in "Preview" mode?

b) But the email then launches correctly when published on-line?

Furthermore the webite that I created in Website X5 Ver 11 (email hyperlink works fine in Website X5 Ver 11 Preview mode), i exported this & then imported into Website X5 Ver 12

Now within Website X5 Ver 12 Preview mode, when I click on the email hyperlink to test it, I get a web browser type popup rather than an email popup (see attachment in original post)

If email hyperlink fails to launch in Website X5 Ver 12 Preview mode (and only ver 12), how can it launch if published on-line?

Hello Bill,

probably the browser and the preview view don't recognize the Outlook 2007, depends of your pc, if you export online i can test if it works.
