Version 13 stops responding - will not start  en

After downloading the new v13 I went through the activation process with apparent success. Then after pressing the "Start" button it starts to load, then simply stops working with a Windows message that said a problem has caused the software to stop working.

Reinstalled 4 times. Same result. Downloaded from Incomedia again, same result. My Versions 11 and 12 run perfectly on this computer. It appears once more that this software has been rushed out too quickly and is not ready for general use. I wanted to upgrade to the Professional Version for a long time and this appeared my best chance - can you please suggest something or put out an update to solve the issue, which some others also appear to have?

Wayne, if you go to control panel, administrative tools, event viewer and delete all events, then run WX5 the problem should be easy to identify. If necessary you could post the error event and incomedia may be able to offer assistance.

You may also wish to advise your current OS.  I am running Win10 64bit pro and fortunately have had no issues loading WX5 Pro 13

Hi Esahc, great suggestion!

After looking at the error reports I tracked it down to a small program that my son had installed (or rather failed to uncheck a tick box for). Once I removed it, everything ran as it should.

I am testing it out now to see what is different.
