I am just beginning to use X5 and i save the site to hdd.

Most of my created pages use the products catalog (shopping chart), with many products.

The both pages whith products with images (page"home" page and "page101") get the extension .php

I have tried to rename te .php file to .html and then the html page opens, but in te menu the link is called is php for those pages so it gives another problem.

In step 5 Analyse Project are 0errors but those problem pages are missing.

I had some products with ,discount until certain date', and that caused that X5 created some PHP files instead of HTML.

It is the normal behavior of X5 to create PHP files where needed.

When I uploaded my website to my webspace it worked flawless. The website has to be online, not on HDD.

For some functions php is needed, software to utilize php is deliverd by the webprovider. So on your pc it will not work standard.

But you can use it in the preview, and even in the preview start another browser that has this functionality. This saves you the trouble setting it on hd en then start it up and maintain it there evrytime.
