I have created a form on my site http://www.vetpins.com/post-pins.html
No error messsage appears and it seems to send since I get a confirmation page, but it never comes into my email.
I have gone into the X5 website test area and my email will send from there.
I also have a shopping cart, but it doesn't work either. (I suspect for the same reason?)
Any help would be very much appreciated! Thank you in advance.

Aaron, many hosts won't allow you to send an email from a different domain.
In the contact form object, send tab, user email address somebody @ vetpins.com should work, but somebody @ gmail.com will not.
Is that the problem??

Hello Esahc... In researching other posts I saw that could be an issue, so I first checked with my host (GoDaddy) and they said that is not the problem. Then I actually changed the setting myself and it still didn't fix the issue.

After a quick look at the code, a GoDaddy rep says that the form code seems to be missing a "reference to a relay file."
Aaron, I am sure others on this site can help you resolve this issue, but in case they are not available I have marked your post for Incomedia's attention.
I am sure the resolution is simple - I just do not know what it is. I too will watch and learn.

Thank you, Esahc. I look forward to hearing from them. This is a very frustrating issue and I fear I will lose customers unless it is solved soon!
Do you think the problem is the same for both the forms and the shopping cart?
Yes Aaron, I reckon it is the same issue.
Aaron, while we are waiting, have you been to step1 settings, advanced, data management? Here you could try the various script types and perhaps one will work? (I always use standard script, but I am not with go-daddy)

I asked GoDaddy about this and they had me use the Authenticated SMTP setting. Thanks.

Even though GoDaddy advised me to use the Authenticated SMTP setting, I tried your suggestion about using "Standard" script and it partially worked, Esahc! THANK YOU!
The form data came through and order information from my shopping cart came through, but the payment information did not reach PayPal. Any thoughts on that?
How long does it usually take Incomedia tech team to respond??
Aaron, I cannot imagine what is wrong as long as you are using the correct login account for paypal.
There was an issue some versions ago which is now fixed but specifically requires the country to be included in the customer details, but I thought this resulted in an error, not a failure of paypal to receive the order.
I am sure Incomedia will respond in due course (it appears the "update protection" renewal requests have put the cat amongst the pidgeons somewhat and they are a tad busy) - or perhaps by sheer luck I have provided you with the same answer they would have provided. I can confirm your post is still marked for their attention.
Hi Aaron.
Are you sure you actually concluded the payment process through PayPal? Keep in mind that the software sends a summary email of the order before you complete the actual payment, so at that point you still did not complete the payment procedure.
If you successfully click on the PayPal button and complete the whole payment process on their website, those specific steps are handled entirely by PayPal itself, and should something go wrong there, it would probably be on their side.
In this case though, it looks more like you simply didn't go through the payment process.
Can you double check this for me and let me know the result?
Thank you
Stefano

Hello Stephano... I just got off the phone with PayPal and discovered the problem. I thought that PayPal would provide security, since I do not have my own security certificate. They will not process a payment unless I have my own security certificate.

Do different email script types have advantages or disadvantages?
Hi Aaron,
There surely are differences between the various scripts, but most are very small and make little to no difference in the end to the user.
Generally, SMTP is one of the most utilized one and if your hosting supports it, I'd say you're better off with that one. If not, the normal PHP Mailer will do just fine
Let me know if I can provide any further information on this
Thank you

Hello Stefano... I added an SSL certificate to my site and was able to successfully add PayPal to my account and receive payments from them. I tried to add payment through Inuit, but it is not working. I place the order and get the screen shot below. I get an email with the order, but Intuit doesn't have a record of the payment. Any ideas? Thank you.

Should I attach a screen shot of the code I used to add the Intuit payment?
Hi Aaron.
Unfortunately, since this is external code we're talking about, the Staff cannot offer any kind of support for it, if not for where exactly to insert it, which I believe you already did correctly.
I will still leave this topic open, so that other users might eventually stop by and help you out with this. In the meantime, I would also recommend you contact Intuit's support directly since they might already provide useful insight on this
Thank you
Stefano
