When making changes to my websites, I always click the "Update Only The Most Recent Files" checkbox. But when the upload occurs, it seems to upload the entire site, not just the recent changes (which can take a long time). Suggestions on how to upoad only the changed files? Thanks!

Hello.I don’t see what exactly is happening and it’s difficult for me to answer precisely. But I can assume that you think that the whole site is being unloaded.Sometimes making even the smallest change may need to upload dozens of files. This is how the program works.

To be sure make a test - take two version of website: before and after update (export on disc both of them or download by any ftp programm from server befor and after update) and put both folders to programm comparing files. Then you can check how many changes were made.

Hi Aaron,

thank you for getting in touch.

Please consider that there are some modifications which might seem minimal, but which actually require the entire project export. Such modifications affect, for example, the header and footer, the menu, the e-commerce section, the blog etc.

By adding a new product, the entire e-commerce has to be regenerated. Now, the product is necessarily on a page, which has to be regenerated as well. In the page some links can be present, so that also the linked pages will have to be regenerated. I made this example mentioning the e-commerce, but this operation affects other project aspects as well. In this way, we avoid the coexistence of old and new parts of the website.

I hope having clarified your doubts. Please feel free to get back to me if you still have questions related to this issue. Have a lovely day!
