Bought a new version of X5 evolution couple days ago and found that the side menu not working correctly with a desktop version, if menu has a sub level (I have a few), when pointing out on the menu folder it jumps up right away and you miss the correct button, then you need to seek the folder you were started from, very annoying. The older version of x5 menu was perfect and not jumping up and down unexpectedly. In new version I can't see how to create the old style menu. What can I do? My website www.gencontrol.co.uk Try to use the side menu (sandwich menu) and you will see what I mean. Thank you in advance.

Hello Viktar
Try make the left sidebar wider and make the menu object fill the whole width.
When you make the menu-object big enough, then you will see menu with text instead of the hamburger.
You should only have the "head" menu in the side-bar.
You should have the sub-menus on the pages.
You set the sub-menu for the levels that the level the page "belongs".
It is a new menu-structure since version 13.

Thanks John, I tried everything you said but it didn't help. Thank you anyway. Hope a of member of helpcentre could suggest anything. It seems as a bug to me. Ideally when you poit on something like a menu button it shouldn't move but only expand down showing sub menu if there is one (like in x5 V10 where you can click on to expand). In my case the menu button I point goes up expanding the sub menu and my mouse pointer randomly appears on any other button and yet may expand another sub menu which will also expands creating chaos. Many years with this product and understood that it is not good enough and never completely developed.
Victar, this is not a bug, it is a feature/failure of the hamburger menu.
As John said, if you don't like the functionality of the hamburger menu automatically opening submenus when selected, do not use it.
Make the space for the menu big enough to accomodate the menu in full text and the submenues will function similar to older versions.
I have provided a sample project which I believe operates as you require (no hamburger menu at any resolution).

Hi Esahc, your example helped me, thank you so much! Thanks to others who tried to help me. I still believe there is something for software developers to work with. This hamburger menu is not perfect. Regards, Victor
Agreed Viktar, I would like to see a menu option initially display a chevron and require a second click/tap to open the submenu.
