Hi evryone
I do need help to upload my websites to my server. I have always over many years uploaded without any
problems. Last week when I went to upload I got the error message that is shown in my attched document. I then attempted to upload my other websites and got the same message please see the attached doc. has anyone had this problem. The I have tried disable Fire Wall and changing the FTP but nothing works, I need to update my website daily but have not been able to, I have contacted the Server and they say all is working ok. The only thing that has changed is I an in Greece now and not in London UK ,could this course a problem, Any help would be very much appreciated Regards Christine

Hello.Check the FTP settings, check access logs on a hosting.
Try to connect to the server usingFileZilla. If you can do it, then the problem is not in WebSite X5. If you can, then as an option, you can upload site through FileZilla.
Once again, write to your hosting provider. Ask for help.
Is the Directory correct on the Server, maybe public _ html has changed?If You ok click on the Error Message, what does the Page look like for ftp access, there are red Warning Ads.When The server software is updated, it happens that the Root Directory for the Homepage changes!

Update WebSite X5 to 2019.1.5. This can help.
Yes check and see if you can connect with filezilla - perhaps your ip from greece is being blocked?

I cannot see why I need to upgrade to another version, I have purchased X% since version 7 and along the line I needed to upgrade to get my websites to upload. I most certain should have to purchase another version unless X% has a hidden code within their software so as to fail after a period of time. I do not think an upgrade will fix the problem, if it did then as befroe I had to upgrade to get my website to upload, will I need to do it again and again Kind Regards Christine

Christine, since you cannot connect to your host through Filezilla the fault is not with WX5, it is either a problem with your host account or a problem with your PC.
Please disable or temporarily remove all 3rd party anti-virus/malware, firewall, vpn, etc. Run a program like malwarebytes (free) to ensure there is no 3rd party software blocking or redirecting internet connects and then uninstall malwarebytes.
If filezilla still cannot connect to your host please use there live chat option so that they can talk you through what you should see and what the settings should be when using filezilla.

Check your host - perhaps they have changed your IP address of your server?
Users won't be affected as the DNS will resolve to the correct folder - but X5 and filezilla won't connect if the IP has changed.
Can you see your site on a browser?
