Website conversion error from x11 to x12 version  en

Hi - I've been able to convert 3 out of 4 of my websites to the newest version of WebsiteX5 (v12) from v11.  However, my largest website stops converting at 59% with an error message "a local file header is corrupt".  I've no idea which iem this is and how to fix it - it't not a problem loading using the V11 software.  I attach a copy of the error message.  There is no way I can rebuild this website so please help identify and fix the specific issue so I can complete the conversion for this website http://canbeltos.songanddanceireland.com/ 

This choir website contains many song tracks and videos.

Please follow the advice given in those threads from Claudio (Incomedia) to resolve the problem:

In case of very large projects please follow these steps:

-Once you have the .iwzip file, rename it as .zip (if you do not see the filename extensions you have to enable them from the Windows control panel).

-Then extract the contents of the file into a folder, you can use a default program like 7zip or select "extract" from the Windows menu.

-Select the contents you have extracted in the folder and recreate the .zip storage (to do this you can use either the Windows default compressor or 7zip).

-Then  rename the file you have just created from .zip to .iwzip, so to import it into version 13 by clicking on the specific button "import" and by selecting the file.

Hi Paul - we've tried but I'm afraid this is beyond our technical ability. Could someone do this for me given error is due to a glitch in the software? I could wetransfer the file if necessary.

Otherwise you could wait for someone else to offer assistance.  Official support for version 11 has ended but there are quite a few users willing to help out voluntarily.

When using WeTransfer please click the menu/options icon (circle with three dots) and select the option to send as a 'link'  -  you can then paste the link directly into my contact form.

Thanks so much Paul - I just checked wetransfer and you can only send 2gb at a time (the file is 7.56gb).  I'll try to upload to Dropbox instead as I have an account with room.  I'll send a link to your contact form once this is done (it'll take a day or 2 given the upload speed where I am!).

You're welcome, Orla.

To try and keep the IWZIP file size as small as possible please ensure that the following options are both deselected (i.e. checkbox NOT ticked) at Step 5:

  • Include a copy of the WebSite preview files
  • Include the Backup copies
