I have set up a trial website and exported it live on 1.com. Now I am attempting to access the online control panel using the "mywebsite.com/admin". I am asked for a an email and password to log in. To my knowledge no password has been entered during the prpearation of the website as it is all done offline using Website X5. The only other password that might be applicable is the one used when setting up with 1.com, but that does not work, and there is no "forgot your password" option.
Website X5 is reasonably easy to use for actually building the website, but I can't say the same for the steps needed to get the site live, set up statistics etc. Is there a decent, simple, step-wise tutorial or guide somewhere?

Hello Graeme,
The password is the default Administrator password as defined in Step 1 Settings > Advanced > Access Management
Full details are in the help file:
https://help.websitex5.com/en/v2019.3/pro/index.html?imp_pannello_controllo.htm
The WebSite X5 help file is superb. It is extremely detailed and comprehensive.
You can download a full copy in PDF format from the 'Download' section of your profile here on the Help Center (WebSite X5 User Guide download)
You will also find many helpful articles in the official WebSite X5 Guide, which can be found here:
WebSite X5 Guide
In particular, How to activate and edit the Administrator's profile
Kind regards,
Paul

Thanks Paul
I wouldn't call this particularly intuitive. I had done nothing in that section as I have no intention of managing access for other users, and nothing in the setup process indicated that I should. Anyway, following your advice I accessed that page and updated the Admin to reflect my name and email, and accepted the default password for the time being. Went back online and entered my email and this password - didn't recognise one or the other and I'm no closer to accessing the online control panel.
Hi Graeme,
thank you for getting in touch.
Have you exported the whole project again after having edited the login details?
Please let me know. Kind regards.

Hi Elisa
Yes, I have, and that fixed the problem. Still having problems with the interaction between Website X5 and One.com - all the stuff about databases and php etc is just about unintelligible for someone with my experience with websites, and I cannot find anything remotely resembling a decent tutorial. Apparently I'm supposed to know this stuff before I start? I only wanted to use the Website X5 statistical analysis tools, but I think I will probably give up and see if the Google option is easier.
thanks
Graeme
