Is it possible to set internal page anchors for individual photos in a gallery, and if so, how?
I am trying to find a way to get around the inability of Website X5 to allow gallery photos to be included in a search. If I can set anchors for each thumbnail in a gallery I may be able to then include an index page with links to the individual photos. Clumsy, and a lot of extra work, but preferable to no search at all.

No you cannot I am sorry Graeme, you can only set an anchor against a page object within WX5

That is not what the Help implies. It states that there is theoretically no limit to the number of anchors that can be created on a page. What you refer to sounds like a page anchor, not an INTERNAL page anchor, which is what I was hoping to use.
Sorry, bad choice of words. An anchor can be set on any object on a page. So if you put an image object on a page it could have anchor. If you place a gallery object, it can have an anchor but not each image in the gallery.

Thanks for clarifying that, Esahc. Do you have any other suggestions for a way around this omission?
You may have answers to a couple of other queries. Is it possible to re-order files in a gallery, and can files be moved from one gallery to another without deleting and then re-creating? I have tried the obvious things within a gallery object like trying to drag a file to a new position, using cut and paste etc but once a file is in the gallery list it seems to be immovable.
Graeme, it is easy enough to move images around in a gallery, but images can not be dragged or copied from one gallery to another.
You can of course copy the gallery object from one place on a page to another, or for that matter a different page or a different project (to move between projects, open WX5 twice). Simply right click on the gallery object, select copy, go to where you wish and right click paste. You can then open the copied gallery and delete images not required.
Be aware that in doing so WX5 will frequently use an alternative name for each image in the gallery, in particular if they are duplicated. Everything will look and be named as the original as far as the user is concerned, but the file name of the image will be different.

Thanks - one down <G>. I hadn't realised what those bottons did - no mouse-over description and I thought they were for rotation. Bad news about not being able to move between galleries - it means an awful lot of work if I ever need to split a large gallery to speed-up loading, which I will probably need to do at some stage.
