Hello Daniel,

What version of PHP are you running on your web server?

WebSite X5 2020.1 requires a minimum of PHP 7.1 to operate correctly.

Kind regards,

Paul

There is a built-in email testing facility available in your WebSite X5 online control panel:

You can use it to help diagnose any issues.

It's also worth updating to version 2020.1.7  -  the software should prompt you automatically to do this, if you close and then reopen WebSite X5.

My problem started after I updated to 2020.1.7.It worked perfectly before I updated. There must be a problem in the codeing somewhere in the new update file. This is really getting me annoyed I have enough to do without things like this happening.I can not even go back to another Version of Website X5 unless I re-make all of my website.

I've asked Incomedia for their input.

Did you run the email tests?

The reason I ask is that while it is understandable to assume that the update caused these issues, it could also turn out to be coincidental...  it would not be the first time that had happened.

My own sites are all updated to 2020.1.7 now with no issues in using the contact forms.

The error logs on your web server could yield valuable information as to what is causing the trouble.

The Incomedia support team will be along in due course, in any event.

Please read the information in the link I posted above, which explains how to access the control panel:

WebSite X5 online control panel

WebSite X5 automatically includes an online control panel for each website that is created.

All the users who have been added to the Administrators group, in the Access Management window, can access the control panel, using their login name and password.

The URL to link to is given in the URL for Online Control Panel access field: this address cannot be changed and it is always http//www.mysite.com/admin where http//www.mysite.com is the website's URL.

Once logged in, click on the Website Test section in the menu on the left-hand side:
