Hello girls & guys,
just working on a small shop for my friend - using a Shopping Cart Search for the first time.
Question:
Shopping Cart Search (SCS) page (by default) will contain ALL the products in the shop.
Am I right?

Is there a way to set-up SCS to shows only selected products on the search page or just some product-categories?
By that I do not mean by applying filters...

No the search works on all items in your shop. The only way is indeed to use the categories.
you can customize a bit, use the special pages for the search options and view of the shop in the search page. This is a different page then the normal shop. So set links to one and link to the other if you want the viewer to choose.
I have the normal shop page myself and made a text with search option in it and linked that to the special page search. In this link you can set also options for the search.
But that's aboout it.

Yes you can displayed just a specific category or categories.
