Update shopping cart for restaurant purpose
Autor: Julio F.Hi, this is an idea that must help all the websiteX5 users.
At this time, many restaurants need to sell food, but using current tools on website X5 are very difficult in order to choose "Sides" for example.
I'm building www.bravococina.com/demo you can see how hard was for me to add sides, you can see HOME>Breakfast scrolling down.
I saw this other website: https://www.riskrd.com/shop/product/junio-18/ is a restaurant based in the Dominican Republic, and works perfectly fine, options (sides) to a plate can be choosen by just clicking each plate, is very simple and the look and field looks great.
We love WebsiteX5, but thinking outside the box and not always taking care that people want to buy a physical product o service will help you to improve this software.
Thanks, Julio
Hello. I sent a notification about your request to the company employees, expect an answer from them here in the comments.
Hi Julio,
thank you for getting in touch.
You could manage this aspect using the product option and sub-options: are you facing particular issues if you try to apply this solution?
Thanks! Kind regards.

Hi Elisa, Yes I did, but I just can choose just one option from a dropdown list at the same time.
Consider that if you go to a restaurant and you pick a plate, you can choose between many sides.
I hope you understand.
regards,
Julio
Hi Julio,
you could use both options and sub-options, so the customers can choose two elements at the same time: have you tried this already?
Please let me know. Kind regards.
I NEED THIS FUNCTION... 1+

Hi Eliza, how can we do that?

Why not create a separate page that just has all the possible sides available - each its own cart element - customer can choose none, or 1 or 2, or all!
If you need, you can group the sides with text headers: Salads, Drinks, Deserts, Vegetables, Starches....

Hi Julio,
you should enter the Product Settings window on Step 1 - Settings > The Advanced section > Shopping Cart > Product List and go to the Options section. There, you can click on "Add" and add new options: there will be the first group of side dishes. Then, select each Option and click on "Add" in the Sub-options field, so to add the second group of side dishes. The final result will look like this:
Thanks! Kind regards.

Thank you Elisa, I will do it like that.

Make each side dish its own product so you can have photo and description
