Object linking by mouse hover

So I have two objects on one row - left side is a Menu object, right side is a Swiper Grid Slider object.

Customers can get to a product page by either reading the description in the menu object and selecting an entry, or by selecting an image from the slider object.

How about a feature on the menu object, that a mouseover causes a linked item from another object to be selected (in this case the linked item would be the image that woud be linked to the menu item).

As you mouseover on the menu - the correspnding image from the slider is displayed......

to help in visualizing....here is what user sees now - the menu item on left and the image in the slider on right are not linked... MAKE AN OPTION TO LINK THEM

I think it will require a slideshow where it is possible to specify which image to start with.

Then have this slideshow in an iframe.

And on the hover you will have to specify the slideshow + start-image as the target for the slideshow.

You will have to use another slideshow than the X5 slideshow.

This way the slideshow will be a "normal" slideshow if no hovering. When a line is hovered, then the slideshow starts with the image for the line.

A simpler solution will be to make slideshow in an iframe. Then - when a line is hovered, then an image ( for the line ) will be shown in the iframe instead of the slideshow. That is more simple. Disadvantage is that by hovering there will be no slideshow - advantage is, that on hovering the same image will be shown as long time as the hovering.

Hope it is understandable what I try to tell.

If you are prepared to build your own "menu" you can of course simply have each line of text linked (as in a normal menu) but with a popup on mouse over by selecting tooltip with image (and text as required)

... right now, and only if you're interested beyond the idea, could you get this effect with EXTRA code ...
