Object problem ppt file

When I select a PPT/PPS file, I can select the file, but when I preview or check the file once it's uploaded, what happens is that I am prompted to open a PowerPoint file in a regular file open dialogue box.
That cannot be the intention! The PowerPoint file is uploaded together with the website.
There software can also accept PPTM and PPTX files (those are mainly what I need), however, the same happen - at preview and also online after upload.
What should I do? Is there an update? Or a patch or something?

No error message comes up, however there must be an error (the object preview page at Incomedia for this object is partially disabled. Have a look at the attached step one to four.

When I needed to dispaly a ppt I uploaded the ppt to one-drive and called it from WX5, then the ppt played automatically through Microsoft Online Powerpoint. I do not believe that WX5 has a built in player.

Thank you for the clarification. I do not use Office 360. I use Office LTSC 2021. I will see if it works with my LTSC version.

... some simple alternatives with online viewers:
