All I did was update 2 pages on the website.  I ran an update and it did show an update, however, after looking at the new website page it didn't update and yes I refreshed my page and it didn't make any differenace.  I than ran an update with "update all the files."  After I ran that one it did update the 2 files I tried to update previousley.  What can cause that?

Sometimes it is the cache. Did you try F5+Ctrl.

Also - some if the ISP's also use caching.

Best is to try with another browser that has never seen the pages.

This is a common problem - for all I think - hard to say what caused it.

I've been using the same browser (edge) for more then a 2 years without any issues at all.  I've been using this software for more then 10 years and never had a problem. I think by saying it's "common problem" is a real reach or just an easy answer that doesn't fit.

Unless you have a time-machine we can lend so we can go back in time before the problem with the 2 pages were solved, and investigate, I can only tell that there is 4 possible reasons:

1 - The browsers cahhe was not completely cleared, even using Ctrl+F5.

2 - Your ISP is using cahing, and those 2 pages were cached, so some time could go before the new changes was to be seen.

3 - Something went wrong by the upload. Either the pages was not recognized as changed, or transfer of the 2 files went wrong.

4 - something else was wrong.

Sorry, but as the problem seem to be solved, you have to make some investigations next time, so you can pinpoint what happens/happened, if the problem arises again.

I often have problem with "old" pages. Especially when it is about JS. Best thing here, is to use a different browser. I think many users have tried this. Amazing that you have not run into this problem in years.
