Hard as i may try, I don't seem to be able to create a menu style that functions as a dropdown list.

Anyone else tried anything?

Something that X5 should include as an option in the menu system......

With one level and several pages below you can create a dropdown menu, see screenshot below

Maybe post an example as a link or screenshot so that we can imagine what is desired.

Thank you. (abthermal.com)

I cannot get the level menu to display, and the setting for number of lines to display is grayed out.

go to this page:

abthermal.com/heat-shrink-tubing-wire-cable-hose-insulshrink.html

near the botton of the page, the list of products in the menu box i would like to have as a level menu (or a dropdown list) with just 4 items showing and the rest scrolling.

If you choose the first item - "2:1 / 3:1 / 4:1 Polyolefin Heat Shrink", when that page opens you see at the top of the page a hamburger menu - I have that set as always show hamberger menu so the large block of menu items is not displayed - but what i really want is a dropdown menu - or the level menu - but I cannot "force" the level menu to display.......

If the setting remains gray and cannot be changed, the Incomedia employees would have to provide an email address through which the project could be sent as an IWZIP file, which is previously uploaded via a service provider such as WeTransfer.com or Swisstransfer.com and the link is used from there.

My test 2 - see 5 screenshot below

Maybe other users have ideas as to whether there are other options for drop-down lists.

I had the level menu set for single column - the items per column is grayed out.

If I change it to multiple column like your example then the items per column is not grayed out.

But I still don't get the result I am looking for.

If you look at that page now, the full menu appears when I uncheck always show hamberger menu - it is much too big. The hamburger is a better choice - but the level menu with the max number of lines to show is what I want....??

(pick another page from the menu to see with the hamburger menu forced to show)

Also viewed my test 2? - you can insert a menu object at the top of a page and display a specific level where you can specify the number of lines via the level menu.

I once put a test page online, see

The first 4 links in the menu are linked to pages that have a menu object at the beginning, for each of which a different level has been selected.

I have set the 4 levels to “hidden” under “3 Sitemap” so that they do not appear in the menu.

I left the layer pages blank on the test page because it was too much work for me to fill them all with content.
