Checkout "Country" button malfunctioning  en

Hello, I have just received a telephone call from a frustrated customer that my checkout doesn't work...The problem is: when entering customer's details into the form - "Country" drop down list doesn'twork - cannot choose country and then the "NEXT" button doesn't work either, so the order cannot be placed. I wonder for how long it is like this - because NO ORDERS WERE PLACED FOR A WHILE NOW. Please, take a look at it urgently. Thank you very much. Jarmila

we have fix this, you can subscribe at the beta channel at beta.websitex5.com to installa che update.

Or you can wait the realize the update in che pubblic channel.

I have visited beta.websitex5.com and decided to wait for the public update. I hope it will come very soon. Do you know when the next public update will be available?

I have sorted out my customer via PayPal invoice so I didn't loose this sale....

Hello Riccardo,

Thank you for your reply and my appology I addressed you with a wrong name in my previous message. 

I again say I HOPE the update will be fast because it has brought my business to a standstill. 

And I also hope that I will be able to control which countries will appear in that list as  I sell perfumes and NOT all countries permit perfumes imports. It would be very confusing for potential customers to have all country options available...

Hello Jarmila,

try to go in C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\Incomedia\WebSite X5 v10 - Evolution\Libraries

and "delete" the file "languages.xml". Then open the program e click on the CTRL+ Preview.

If you edit the language file you can export and import the personal language.

Hi Riccardo,

Thank you for your advise.

I have managed to delete "languages.xml" BUT with the next step you are suggesting above I need more detailed info - "Then open the program e click on the CTRL+ Preview.If you edit the language file you can export and import the personal language "- sorry, BUT I do not know how or where to do that.

Anyway - after deleting the language file I have tested the checkout:

1./ The country button seems to be partially working when there is option "allow shipping data to differ from invoice data" on. BUT

2./ in the shipping formular - country button shows "object, object" and when different name of country is written there - after hitting button "next" it will show the name of the country from the invoice formular - see the attachment

2./ Country button in the invoice form is NOT working at all when the option "allow shipping data to differ from invoice data" is off.

3./ List of countries - I need to know how to edit it - 90% countries in that list we do not supply our products.

Hello Riccardo,

I am not happy with your advise - because signing for the beta version should be my voluntary decision to become a tester. I am not a tester, I reqiure software which is proven to work in order to run my business.

Anyway the checkout seems to be working after deletion. I had the first order yesterday via website checkout after weeks of no sales as the checkout was broken! 

Anyway 2 - Why am I having that new "country drop down menu" on my website when it was not properly tested and even NOT mentioned in the last update 10.1.2.42 BUT it is mentioned in BETA version?

Hello Jarmila,

you can download this .zip file, estract the .js file and copy in the x5cartengine.js in the RES folder of the Program.

Then oper the program and the project and click on the CTRL+Preview.

Then export completely the site on the internet.

I have only just updated to version 10.1.4.45 and I am now experiencing the same problem.  I noticed my language file had changed from English to Russian so I have followed the suggested advice in this thread and it is still not working.  

Any other suggestions?

Hello Tamara,

try to export your site in internet and tell me the link so i can verify.

Check to click on CTRL+Preview before the export.

Try to copy the my file .js in the RES folder of your site.

I have attached a screenshot of the page.

I have CTRL+Preview and exported the site but it hasn't made any difference.

You suggest:
"Try to copy the my file .js in the RES folder of your site".  
What is my file .js?  I can't find it

Hi Riccardo,

Re-setting the browser cache has made no difference.  The page link to the cart is attached.  The error is in the country field on step 2. I really need this fixed

I'm still waiting for a solution.  I have tried various steps advised by the support team but the problem with the country drop down list remains.  

I'm hoping somebody out there can help/advise?

Now is working for me Tamara, downloaded the attachment with "x5cartengine.zip"and them extract the .js file and copy in Res folder of the program, open the program and click on the CTRL+Preview and export the site .
