Hello,

I accidentaly deleted the index.php file.  How do I generate another one to replace the one I have deleted. I uploaded a blank index.php file hoping when I uploaded the website completely to the server it would add the necessary information to it.  Also when I look at my site and click on the other links and then go back to the home link I get this error.

Not Found

The requested URL /index.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Thanks,

Bob

I just figured out what worked for me.. I copied the contents of the index.html file into the index.php file and I no longer get the 404 error.

Thanks for sharing, glad that it is sorted out.

You can also set the name of the index file differently in step2, select home page (select not double click) then use the properties button, goto expert tab, set file name format to php.

Then upload again.

TIP: when connecting to your host, remove the index.html cause poeple might land on it if it saved in ther favorites with html extension. And then get the error.....

You can use the red cross on top to delete the file from your webhost.

Best regards, André
