Repeated VALIDATION requests  en

Hi

Can anybody help please?

I am running Website X5 Evolution 11 on a reasonably powerful DELL desktop with Win 7 Home Premium.

Every time I try to start the programme from scratch I am asked to Validate the license. I have some seven or eight colleagues all using this programme and none of us have met this problem before. It is a time consuming and frustrating issue especially when you are in and out of the programme fairly frequently. I have been using this software since the release of v10 and am delighted with all other aspects of it.

Any suggestions please?

Hello Gordon,

This issue will only occur if the Windows 'user' operating the WebSite X5 program is distinct and different from the 'user' who installed the software.

Please uninstall WebSite X5, then log on to Windows as the actual user who will be operating the program...  then reinstall WebSite X5 with administrative rights by right-clicking on the setup file and selecting 'Run as administrator'.

You may also find it helpful (after installation) to right-click on the program shortcut icon and again select 'Run as administrator'.

Please let us know if you still experience any issues having done all of the above.

Sincere thanks for this Paul. It seems a very obvious annd likely solution.

This is on a friend's laptop and he is on holiday now until Tuesday 22nd September. I'll report back as soon as I can.

I know for a fact that I used my details to load the programme for him and his for validating so I'm sure your solution will worl.
