How to keep my projects if website x5 has been removed by newly setting up of co  en

Hi- my computer set itself back to factory settings (my mistake) but saved all data. So I can find the projects/websites I made with website x5 but I can't open the program anymore. I am afraid to reinstall it (I still have the installation CD and box). How can I use the program again with my data?

Just reinstall, data will never be removed by installing. If you are not shure, backup the files / maps / projects / directorys. So you can replace them if necesary.

Hi- I did as you said. Then copied all the files into the new "incomedia/website x5..." folder. So then it loaded the titles but said it couldn't open it, because it was created with a later version (I used the exact same cd-rom- but maybe there was an update at some point?) Please see attachment. What now? What else do I need to do, besides copy the above mentioned folder?

BR Patricia

You need to update x5 to the latest version. (run update)

Then it should work. The projects are made with the latest v9 the one on cd is probably not the latest version.

GREAT- I found the update link- you can't see it, when you are in the project. But when you start up, it is the second to last on the left bottom.

Working again! Thank you, Andre!
